Alvin Mosley

Alvin Jay Mosley, 81 years of age, was born on March 25, 1939 in Tattnall County, Georgia. Both Alvin's father, Jay Mosley and mother, Ellaree Richardson preceded in death. Alvin worked for the Florida Department of Transportation from 1983-2000 as a Technician in the small bridge dept. He served as an Assoc. Pastor at First Greater Union Missionary Baptist Church, Deland, Florida. He then served as Pastor of New Hope Missionary Baptist Church, in New Smyrna Beach, Florida. Then as Pastor of Mount Pisgah Missionary Baptist Church, Barberville, Florida. He then established Word of Life Church, Deland, Florida, where he served and the Founding Pastor. He is survived by three daughters, Jennifer (Doug) Davis, New York, Lisa Mosley, Reidsville, GA, Michelle Mosley, Virginia; A brother, Mr. George Smith, Kathleen, GA; A sister-in-law, Mrs. Queen Smith, Kathleen, GA. An Aunt, Ms. Ruby Hall, Reidsville, GA; An Uncle, Mr. Curtis Smith, Fort Pierce, Florida. 3 Grandchildren, Spencer (Latisha) Davis, New York, Justin Mosley, Reidsville, GA, Yanna Mosley, Reidsville, GA; 2 Great-Grandchildren, and a host of family members and friends.
