Alvin Scott

The late Alvin Scott was called to Glory on April 23, 2023.

Scott was born on July 3, 1959 in Liberty County, Georgia to the late Albert and Eunice Harris Scott. At an early age he joined Macedonia Baptist Church in Ludowici, GA. Alvin graduated from Long County High School with the class of 1976.

He served in the army for 7 years and worked at GSP for 13 years. He also worked with Harris Brick mason for several years. He was married to Lois Deanna Sharpe for 32 years and they had four children together.

Scott was preceded in death by his parents; Albert and Eunice Scott, brother; Jimmy Scott and son; Gerrick Scott.

Alvin leaves to cherish memories with a devoted wife; Lois Scott, children; Sylvan (Chasdine) Johnson, Moneisha (Prince) Scott- Thomas, Remer Johnson, Allen (Lauren) Scott, Precious (Wesley) Scott, and Derrick Scott, four grandchildren to whom he and Lois raised; Dynashjia Johnson, Sandra Johnson, Aiden Scott, and Kayden Murphy, four sister; Janie Mae Holmes, Joyce Berry, Cathy Howard, Donna (Phillip) Boyd, two brothers, Randy (Bernetta) Scott and Gary (Freddie) Scott, one sister-in-law; Maria Arthur, four bro-in-laws; Kenneth Sharpe, Sylvester (Kay) Sharpe, Ivory (Eva) Sharpe and Marvin Sharpe, with lots of grands and great grands and a host of many nieces, nephews, family and friends.
