Annie Costen

Annie Ruth Costen was born on July 24, 1950, to the late Artis and Ella Mae Carswell, Sr., in Tattnall County, Georgia. The first child of four. She departed this life on Tuesday, July 21, 2020 at Candler County Hospital. Annie was preceded in death by her parents and her son Collis Lee Costen, Jr. She accepted Christ at an early age and attended St. Phillips Missionary Baptist Church, Reidsville, GA. She leaves to cherish her memory her husband, Collis Costen, Sr.; two daughters, Tracy CostenKing (Charlie) and Angie Costen; grandchildren, Jason Costen, Isaih Williams, Collis Williams, Lillie Williams Dixon (Corwin) Omar Njie, Timothy Hunter (TJ) and one great-granddaughter, Leylah C. Dixon; two brothers, Dr. Artis Carswell, Jr., (Janice) and Van L. Carswell and one sister, Gracie M. Carswell, all of Reidsville, GA; Catherine Smith of Teaneck, NJ, Willis Costen and Helen McKinnon (Alton), both of Collins, GA; Valerie Mincey and Evelyn Costen, both of Reidsville, GA, Julia Bailey (Layman), Atlanta, GA, Frances (Borden), Englewood, NJ and Jessie Goodman (William), Elmont, NY. We would like to say thank you to Annie's extended family Maria Ekberg, Laticia Jackson, Dominique McNeal. We love you and appreciate for always being there for our mother. She always said you three were her other children.
