Life Journey of Arabelle A. Boddie
Arabelle A. Boddie was born in Hazlehurst, Ga on July 22, 1939 to the late Luke Arnold, Sr. and Anna Arnold. She went home to be with the Lord on June 8, 2019.
She attended school at St. Mathis. She was a loving and devoted mother to four children. She was employed over 18 years at Alco Controls until she retired in 2002.
She was a member of Piney Grove Missionary Baptist Church for many years, where she served as an usher and assisted in the kitchen. She moved her membership to Mt. Calvary Baptist Church, where she also served as an usher.
She was preceded in death by three sisters: Betty Jones, Jewel Ryles, and Katherine Myles.
She leaves to cherish her memories, two devoted sons, Ivery (Meshellie) Boddie III of Hattiesburg, MS and William (Octavia) Boddie of Hazlehurst, GA; two devoted daughters: Shirley Boddie of Hazlehurst, GA and Shonda Boddie of Americus, GA; four grandchildren: Yasmine Boddie and Ivery Boddie IV of Hattiesburg, Ms. Lekeia Boddie of Hazlehurst, GA and Christopher Brantley of Baxley, GA; one sister, Loretta (Willie) Welch of Okeechobee, FL; one brother, Luke (Carolyn) Arnold, Jr. of Hazlehurst, GA.
She will be missed by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, and neighbors.
