Basil Harris

SFC Basil A. Harris, Sr. was born on September 20, 1959 in St. Petersburgh, FL to Willie Harris, Jr. and Emma Lee Baines. He entered into eternal rest on August 2, 2022 in Glennville, GA. He was Sixty-two years old. He went to school in Jacksonville, FL and attended Andrew Jackson High School. At the age of 18 he joined the U.S. Army. He received numerous awards and medals throughout his career proving he was an exemplary soldier. Basil is preceded in death by his father; Willie Harris, Jr., two brothers; Joe Nathan Baines and Larry Harris. He is survived by his children; Alison Williams, Arica Jenkins (Alvin), Basil Jr. and Felicia Harris, Mother; Emma Lee Baines, Siblings; Willie Alfred Harris (GA), Edmund Harris (FL), Patricia Harris (FL), Calvin Harris (FL) and Michael Harris (FL), and a host of grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
