A native of Lumber City, Georgia, Charles Clark, Sr. transitioned from this life on earth to his new heavenly home on December 9, 2020 at the Carl Vinson VA Medical Center in Dublin, Georgia. He was born on January 20, 1935 to the late Lamon Clark and Alberta Clark in Lumber City, Georgia.
He attended the Lumber City School System and graduated in 1953. He then joined the United States Military and retired after 21 years of service. After retirement, he enjoyed fishing, gardening, and spending time with family and friends.
He was a member of the Full Gospel Church of God in Lumber City, GA where Bishop William Hollis is the pastor.
Six children were born to the marriage of Charles and the late Mildred Clark.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two sons: Michael Charles Clark and Larry D. Clark; three siblings: Lavonia Walker, Warnell Clark, and Minnie Mae Campbell; and one sister-in-law, Josephine Clark.
He leaves to cherish his loving memories: six children: Veronica Ndubueze of Savannah, GA; Tony Clark of San Diego, CA; Gigi Clark of Fitzgerald, GA; Geraldine Clements of Albany, GA; Precious Clark of Lumber City, GA and Charles Clark, Jr. of Fort Lauderdale, Florida; 14 granddaughters, 5 grandsons, and 21 great grands.
Siblings: Robert Clark, Sammy Clark (Ora), Elizabeth Dugger, Griffin Clark (Tanya), all of Lumber City, Georgia. A host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
