Charles Wesley Rease

On Wednesday, September 10, 2014, the Lord called Charles' name and he answered the call. Charles Wesley Rease, affectionately called 'Chuck' was born August 24, 1935 to the union of the late Jordan Taft Rease and Thirkield McIver Rease in Vidalia, GA. Preceding him in death is five brothers: Robert, Jordan, Able Jeff, Johnnie B, and Athel Rease and three sisters: Mildred, Margaret, and Julia.. Charles completed his education in the Wheeler County School Sytems. He met and married his wife Mary Durden on March 25, 1961. There were three children born to this union, Schritta, Reggie and Chuckie. Charles was a loveable person and always willing to help others. After moving to Detroit in the early 1950's, he begins his work career at Wixom General Motors and retired after 27 years. His greatest passions were his family and friends. He leaves to cherish his memory and love, his wife Mary Rease of Detroit, MI. Two daughters, Scheritta Rease of Detroit, MI and Gwen (Rodney T.) Robinson of Louisville, KY. Three sons, Reggie (Rita) Rease and Chuckie (Michelle) Rease, both of Detroit, MI. and Tom (Helen) Parker of Valdosta, GA. 15 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren. One brother Paul (Laretta) Rease of Detroit, MI; Five sisters: Pauline Drake of Detroit, MI; Betty Williams of Brunswick, GA; Thirkield (Thomas) Moring of Columbus, GA; Sandra Rease Rivers of Lumber City, GA; and Shirley Patterson of Eastman, GA. And host of nieces, nephews, family and friends. Funeral: 12 noon at the St. John Baptist Church, Lumber City, Ga. Interment: Cedar Grove Cemetery in Lumber City, Ga.
