Chrisean Alphonso Bernard Hawkins, beloved son, brother, nephew, cousin and friend passed away on December 20, 2025, at the age of 23. Born on July 14, 2002, in Statesboro, Georgia, Chrisean was raised in Glennville, Georgia, during his early years, a place he proudly called home. He later lived in Silver Springs, Maryland, and Savannah, Georgia, during his middle and high school years.
He was the cherished son of LaWanda Josefa Hawkins of Kuwait City, Kuwait and Chaz Ezekiel Rodriguez Sr, of El Paso, Texas. Chrisean was a devoted brother to RaDaysha Palmer of Kuwait City, Kuwait; Chaz Rodriguez Jr. of El Paso, Texas; Journi Rodriguez of Whitsett, North Carolina; and Josiah Williams of Hinesville, Georgia.
A 2021 graduate of Sol C. Johnson High School in Savannah, Georgia, Chrisean continued his academic journey as a student at Bowie State University, where he was pursuing his Bachelor's degree with plans to graduate in 2026. He was also employed by Style X Showroom in Washington, D.C., where his creativity and eye for fashion were evident and deeply appreciated.
From a young age, Chrisean developed a passion for fashion and self-expression. He spoke often of his aspirations to build a luxury lifestyle and explore the world. True to that vision, he began traveling early in life, visiting various countries and fully immersing himself in different cultures. Travel was not just an interest for Chrisean; it was a reflection of his curiosity, confidence and appreciation for beauty in all its forms.
Chrisean was a lover of people in the truest sense. He possessed a natural warmth and showed kindness to everyone he encountered. He valued loyalty, emotional intelligence, and authenticity, and he was deeply intentional about showing up for his family. His presence was expressive, grounded, stylish, and sincere. These qualities left a lasting impression on all who knew him.
He is survived by his loving parents and siblings; his aunts Tabatha McNeil of Washington, D.C., Tammi Miller of McDonough, Georgia, Geneva (Thomas) Moore of Collins, Georgia, Christina Yancey of New York City, Reiko (Michael) Roberson of Glennville, Georgia, and Osjha Doe of North Carolina; and his uncle Chris Yancey of New York City.
Chrisean is also survived by his grandmothers, Isabel Llanos of Harlem, New York; Gail (Edward) Young of Delaware; and Beverly "Nanna" Way of Glennville, Georgia. He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Alphonso Hawkins.
He leaves to cherish his memory his great-aunts Latasa (Michelle) Moorer of Savannah, Georgia, and Melody (Herbert) Coleman of Queens, New York; his great-uncles Charles (Helen) Thomas of Manassas, Georgia, and Donnie Hawkins of Claxton, Georgia; along with a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends who loved him dearly.
Chrisean's life, though far too brief, was marked by intention, elegance and love. His legacy lives on in the lives he touched, the dreams he shared, and the unwavering loyalty he gave to those he held close.
