Clara Dlois Vann

Mrs. Clara Delois Vann, a native of Appling County, Georgia, blessed this earth with her presence on July 9, 1954. She was born to the parentage of the late Joseph Jones, Sr. and the late Clara Mae Jones. She was summoned by the angels to rest from all her labor on February 19, 2022. Clara graduated from Appling County High School in 1973. For many years she worked for the Sunshine Center in Baxley, Georgia as a bus driver. She was devoted to her career and worked as a bus driver until her retirement. She was a faithful member of Macedonia Baptist Church from her youth. She was united in Holy Matrimony to the late Reverend Levon Vann in 2000. Clara was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph Jones, Sr. and Clara Mae Jones; husband, Reverend Levon Vann; and sons, Stevie P. Jones and Corey D. Jones. Clara leaves loving memories to be shared with her son, Antonio Horne of Baxley, Georgia; three grandchildren: Antonio Paulk and Kennay Paulk, both of Baxley, Georgia, and Jameel Terrell of Douglas, Georgia; five sisters and six brothers; godmother, Mother Bessie Conaway; godchildren, Erica Lott and Kendrick Newkirk; special neighbor, Wanda Roberts. She also leaves to cherish her memories with a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, sisters and brothers-in-law, and sorrowing friends.
