Clarence Foy

July 23, 1959 — January 7, 2021

Clarence Tyrone Foy Jr. Was born on July 23, 1959 to the union of Elizabeth Queen Edwards Foy and Clarence Louis Foy Sr. In Newark, New Jersey. Clarence was educated in the public school system of Plainfield, New Jersey where he grew up. At an early age he gave his life to Christ and united with the Calvary Baptist Church of Plainfield, New Jersey. An active participant in the Sunday School, he was selected to represent the church as a delegate at the National Baptist Convention in Wichita, Kansas. Clarence was also a member of the Junior Church Choir. As a young man, Clarence entered the Armed Services Branch of the military and served in the United States Army at Fort Dix, New Jersey where he was honorably discharged. Prior to his passing, Clarence spent the latter part of his life motivating and speaking to underserved veterans' groups. Clarence was a member of the Seventh Light Church in Bronx, New York. He leaves to mourn his passing his sister Veronica Foy of Atlanta, Georgia and his first cousins, Laverne Smith, Raymond Smith, Jacklyn Smith, Herbert Lee Smith, Willie Henry Smith and James Edward Smith all of Reidsville, Georgia. He also leaves to mourn his church family, best friend Anthony Davis of Bronx, New York as well as a host of family and friends.
