Claude Cecil Berry Sr.

Brother Claude Cecil Berry, Sr. was born May 16, 1948 in Tattnall Coun-ty, GA to the late Robert E. Berry, Sr. and Maxie Viola Berry. Claude was educated in the public school system of Tattnall County, Georgia and graduated high school, May 1966 from the Tattnall County Industrial High School in Reidsville, GA. Claude was a faithful member of the Greater Zachariah Missionary Baptist Church, Glennville, GA, under the leadership of Dr. C. L. Anderson. He was a retired Civil Servant. He was married to the late Bonnie Davis Berry for over 20 year and to this un-ion three children were born. Claude resided with his sister Joann Berry Smith for a number of years. He was preceded in death by two sibling, Alethia Berry and James H. Berry. Claude is survived by four children, two daughters, Wanda Berry and Tonie(Richard) Golden of Glennville, GA; two sons, Claude Cecil Berry, Jr of Co-lumbus, GA and Casey(Sherrell) Johnson of Sylvania, GA; three sisters, Rosa Nell Cooper of Claxton, GA, Joann(Alex) Smith of Statesboro, GA and Ruby Jean Berry of Reidsville, GA; two brothers, Roscoe Berry and Robert E. Berry, Jr. of Reidsville, GA; nine grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren. Two brothers-in-law and three sisters-in law. He will be missed sorely by a special cousin who was more like a brother, Barnie Berry a special niece, Linda Berry and a host of other nieces, nephews and friends.
