Colis Elizabeth Mincey

Colis Elizabeth Mincey was born in Wayne County of December 14, 1938, daughter of the late Pete Carter and Janie Ruth Carter. She passed peacefully at her home surrounded by family on August 6, 2022. Colis worked several occupations throughout her life. She was the owner of Colis Country Kitchen Catering Service, but her last place of employment was Daniel Brick. She was a warm and benevolent woman, who found joy in serving Jehovah and Cooking! Colis will be dearly missed by family, friends, her brothers, and sisters in the faith and her Creator, Jehovah God. She leaves to cherish her memory a loving husband; Fred Mincey, Jr. of 63 years, three children; Cornelia (Carl), Dian (Jarvis), Cathy (Hilton), and one child who preceded her in death, Fernita Carol, five grandchildren; James (Stevie), Jason, Britney, Jessica, and Enrique; three great-grandchildren; Tahj, Luca, and Miloe, three special children; Maggie, James, Emmitt III, and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.
