Danny L. Cox was born on March 18, 1961 in Evans County, Georgia to the late Jettie and Sarah cox. In the late nigh of April 6, 2023, God called him home.
Early on, Danny decided to give his life to Christ and was a proud member of Green Cypress Missionary Baptist Church of Claxton, GA for 62 years. He was a faithful member and friend. Danny was devoted and had a strong passion for his work. He served 30 years of his life to the Georgia Department of Transportation and Claxton Poultry. He spent all of his free time tending to his farm work. Danny was a great father and grandfather who would do anything for his family.
He was preceded in death by two brothers; McAuthor and Earnest Lee, one sister; Louvanda Cox and one niece; LaConya Coley.
He leaves to carry on his legacy his wife, May Cox of 35 years, four children; Dimishe Cox (Fulton), Joni Cox, Marissa (Dale) Thomas, Roy Cox, and two he raised as his children; Shariya Pryor and CJ Bacon, two sisters; Sandra McBride and Samantha (Wayne) Hall, one brother; Jet (Josie) Cox, five sisters-in-laws; Lula Smith, Lottie (Ray) Brown, Shirley Childers, Carolyn Davis and Carol Pryor, one brother-in-law; Donnell (Leah) Davis, nine grandchildren; Christopher Cummings, Porshia Cummings, Gabreal Cummings, Kendajah Manor, Abigeal Cummings, Ethan Porter, Khloe Thomas, and Addison Smith, two god-mothers; Ida Pearl Wynn and Josie Mae Mincey, one god-brother; Lamar Lavant, one god-sister, Angela Roberts, two god-daughters; Shameka Hatcher and Cassandra Henry, one special friend, Larry Ryhmes of 30 years and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and many friends.
