Deacon Jet Arthur Cox was born November 30, 1954, in Long County to Jettie and Sarah Cox.
Jet departed this life the evening of Saturday November 23,2024 at the age of 69 at his home surrounded by family.
Jet attended the Long County Public School System. He retired after 30 plus years from The Department of Transportation. He then establish Cox Creative Product and Construction Incorporation.
Jet was a member of Green Cypress Missionary Baptist Church in Claxton, Ga where he also served as a faithful deacon.
He was preceded in death by his father Jettie Cox, Mother Sarah Cox, his brother Ernest Lee Cox, his sister Louvanda Porter, and his brother Danny Lee Cox.
He leaves to cherish loving memories wife of 45 years Josie Anna Cox of Glennville, Ga. Two sons Cody (Amy) Cox of Midway, Ga and Timothy (Ebone) Cox of Walterboro, Sc and two daughters Angela (Harley) Bridges of Richmond Hill, Ga and Jennifer (John) Lee of Statesboro, Ga. Two sisters Sandra McBride and Samantha (Wayne) Hall of Glennville, Ga. Two sister in-laws Shirley Roberts of Savannah Ga and Janice Anderson of Glennville, Ga and one brother in-law Willie (Brenda) Hall of Savannah, Ga. 9 Grandkids Codessian Cox, Nazyia Cox, Jetasia Cox, Destiny Bridges, Harley Bridges Jr., Noriah Lee, Jayce Lee, Jhournee Lee and John Lee Jr. One great grand Nina Cox. A host of aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews. One special Aunt Josie Mae Mincey and one special Uncle Jerry Mincey.
