Deaconess Marie Cray

Deaconess Marie K. Cray was born April 11, 1929 to the

late Richard and Mandie B. Kates in Horn Mission, Georgia. She

attended Horn Mission School. She worshipped at the House of

God Church for over 57 years.

Deaconess Cray departed this life March 31, 2024. She

was preceded in death by her parents and all her siblings;

husband, James W. Cray, Sr.; daughter, Mae Alice Myles; sons,

ElderOscar Kates, James W. Cray,Jr.,and William H. Cray.

She leaves to mourn her memory a son:Leo (Debra) Cray;

special granddaughter: Katherine McMillan; daughters-in-law:

Patricia Cray, Doris Cray Jacobs,and VanessaKates; sister-in-law:

Annie Mae Kates; 22 grandchildren; 64 great-grandchildren;

bonus daughter: Susan Matthews Quinney. She also leaves a

host of very special family members, great-great-grandchildren,

nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
