Dennis Davis

Mr. Dennis Davis, 51 of Chicago, Illinois passed away Wednesday, September 23, 2009. He is a native of Tattnall County and he attended the public schools in the county. He attended Mt. Zion #1 Baptist Church in the Tyson community. He was born in Savannah, Georgia on December 5, 1957 to Ms. Mary Ann Davis and step-father Jerry Calhoun of Reidsville, Ga. He was preceded in death by his mother Ms. Mary Ann Davis, grandparents Mr. Henry and Mrs. Ruthie Mae Davis and one son Tavorius Davis. He is survived by his wife Mrs. Katie Davis of Chicago, Ill. And four children all of Chicago, Ill. Eight sisters Shirley (Ruben) King, Jr. and Linda (Dale) Thomas, Sr. both of Glennville, Ga., Lois Bacon, Jettie Calhoun, Shirl Manning, Sonnie Calhoun and Lillian Calhoun all of Reidsville, Ga. and Maxine Fleming of Atlanta, Georgia. Six brothers Kenneth (Pamela) Davis of Sacramento, California; Aubrey Davis, Terry (Cynthia) Calhoun of Reidsville, Ga., Gregory Davis of Macon, Ga., Larry Calhoun of Folkston, Ga., Kelvin Guest of Waycross, Ga.; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held Saturday, October 3, 2009 at 1:00pm at Center of Life - C.O.G. in Glennville, Ga. with burial in the Robert Chapel Cemetery in Tyson, Ga. Wake services Friday, October 2, 2009 from 7:00-8:00 at King and Son's Funeral Home Chapel. King and Son's Funeral Home of Glennville, Ga. is in charge of arrangements.'
