Dorothy Mae Roberts

December 24, 1952 — December 18, 2024

Dorothy Mae Roberts, aged 71, a cherished lifelong resident of

Glennville and Atlanta, Georgia, passed away peacefully on December

18, 2024. She was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Joseph W.

Roberts, Sr. and Johnnie Lee Roberts, as well as her brother, Joseph

Roberts, Jr.

Dorothy is survived by her devoted children, Karen D. Richardson of

Stockbridge, GA, and Rodrick Roberts (Ebony) of Locust Grove, GA.

She also leaves behind her loving siblings: Shirley E. Smith of Glennville,

GA; Polly Gaskins (late Jimmy) of Norfolk, VA; Paulette Coleman

(Franklin) of Montgomery, AL; Johnnie M. Jordan of Glennville, GA;

Gladys Sheila Joyce of Reidsville, GA; Earnest Roberts (Sandra) of

Charleston, SC; Vinesta Roberts (Terry) of Glennville, GA; and Michael

N. Roberts of Griffin, GA. Dorothy's legacy continues through her five

cherished grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and

dear friends.

Dorothy embraced her faith early in life, worshipping at First African

Baptist Church in Glennville, GA, and later continuing her spiritual

journey at Elizabeth Baptist Church in Atlanta, GA. She dedicated

30 years of her professional life as a supervisor at the Southern Tea

Company, where she was known for her diligence and leadership.

Dorothy will be fondly remembered as a loving and caring mother and

grandmother. Her generous spirit, unconditional love, and unwavering

devotion to her family and friends will forever be cherished
