Eddie Lee Smith

Mr. Eddie Lee Smith "Man" was born on February 11,

1946, to the late Isabella Faison and Wright Smith, Sr. in

Hazlehurst, Georgia.

He was married to Lillie Mae Swinson and from that

marriage, they were blessed with two sons, Eric (Veleria)

Smith, Sr. and Lorenzo Smith.

He was known for preaching the Gospel as a pastor in his

early days, residing with the late Bishop Hightower of

Hightower Memorial Temple.

Eddie "Man" loved traveling, cooking, and taking

photographs for family memories. He was also best known

for hosting the Smith/Faison Family Reunions. That's

where he had a passion for taking family photos for

memories and bringing the family close together from all

over.

He moved and resided in Jacksonville, Fl and worked many

many years till he decided to retire. After his retirement, he

returned to Hazlehurst, Ga to live until God called him

home on October 16, 2023.

Eddie leaves to cherish his memories: two sons: Eric

(Veleria) Smith and Lorenzo Smith. Four grandchildren:

Alexus Smith, Eric Smith, Jr., Shannon Ross, and Eriyanna

Smith. Special nephews; Chuck Smith and Williard Smith,

Jr.. Special friends, Mr. Davis and Verna Martin. And a host

of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Brothers (deceased) are Wright Smith, Jr. and William

Barney Smith, Williard Smith, Sr.; Sisters (deceased) are

Thelma Smith and Dorothy Gauldin.
