Edward Charles Davis, Jr. was born on August 3, 1969, at Evans Memorial Hospital to
the parentage of Geraldine and Edward Charles Davis, Sr. On Thursday, August 22, 2019, he departed this life at Optim Medical Center in Reidsville, GA. Edward attended Tattnall County Public Schools and graduated from Glennville High School in 1988. During high school, he worked
at Burkhalter's IGA in Glennville, GA, a job he loved.
He gave his life to Christ and became a member at Zion Temple Church of Christ Holiness Unto the Lord in Glennville, Georgia on January 24, 1980, where he served faithfully until
he joined the Army.
After high school, he joined the United States Army and served for four years. After serving in the Army, he returned home to Glennville for a short period of time and he later relocated
to Fort Pierce, Florida. Upon moving to Florida, Edward resided with his additional family; surrogate parents, Lavern and Clinton Daughtry. Edward worked hard and diligently for many years before relocating back to Georgia. After returning back to Georgia Edward
was employed by Drew Thomas, owner of Nature's Choice and supervised by David Cato.
There he was affectionally known as Charles. He loved his job and all the employees! He also
loved spending time with his family. Edward was a die-hard Dallas Cowboys fan and one of favorite players was quarterback Dak Prescott.
He was preceded in death by his father Edward Charles Davis, Sr., and a brother Clinton
Daughtry III and a nephew Clinton Daughtry IV.
He leaves to cherish his memory a loving and devoted mother Geraldine Davis. He also leaves one sister Britney (Christopher) Woodruff, one brother Bryson Fountain of San Antonio, TX; other sisters: Lawanda (Frisner Sr.) Simillien, Charmaine Daughtry, another brother, Henry Lee Golden; special siblings: Tonya Daughtry and Keith Jinks; a nephew: Mason Fountain of San Antonio, TX; several other nieces and nephews: Asia, Vontavious, Rayshawn, Nioca, Chaniria, Clintasia, Malik,
Marquan, Frisner Jr., Jaheem, Moriah, Henry, Crystal, Leshay, and Trae; one great-nephew:
Clinton V; many aunts and uncles: Rev. Jerome (Misty) Davis, Minister Robert Collins, Linda Davis, Woodrow Brantley Jr., Perry (Liz) Davis, Shirley Ann (Ernest) Harvell, Helen Harvey, Gloria Nell (Samuel) Hill, Linda Williams, Jerry (Diane) Mobley, Gwitha (Willie) Warren, Hercules (Yolanda) Mobley, and Samuel (Mary) Fate; Special family Pastor Diane Jinks and family, and family friend
Windell Singleton; fiancé: Paula Jordan of Glennville, GA; special friend: Jimmy Winfield, and other friends and a host of loving cousins and friends.
