Elder Alvin Ellis

Elder Alvin Ellis was born April 4, 1936 in Oak Hill, Alabama to the late Willie and Hattie Ellis. He was the fourth of nine children. He went to sleep in the Lord on Sunday Sept. 26, 2010 at Grady Health System in Atlanta, GA. He will be greatly missed in the flesh, but will remain with us in the Spirit. He was preceeded in death by his loving wife, Helen Elnora Ellis, two brother, Calvin Ellis Oak Hill, AL and Moses King, Ft. Myers, FL One child Arthur Mae Melson, Atlanta, GA Survivors one son Elder Franklin (Brenda) King of Winter Haven, FL. Six daughters Charlotte Wright and Voncille Nichalson of Monroeville, AL, Helen(Elder Larry) Stanley of Newnan, GA, Patricia King of Winter Haven, FL, Zeborah (Minister James) Kelly of College Park, GA, and Nita (Herger) Edge of Atlanta, GA. Graveside services will be held Thursday Sept. 30, 2010 at 11:00 am at Davis Chapel Cemetery, Towns, GA. Burial will follow immediately after the service.
