Elder Willie Brown passed away Friday, August 8, 2008 at East Georgia Regional Medical Center in Statesboro, Georgia.
Elder Brown is a native of Tattnall County and the Pastor of the Railroad Avenue Church of God in Jesup, Ga. He was a former employee of Ford Motor Company presently known as Brent Walker Ford for 53 years.
He is survived by his wife of 63 years Mrs. Pinkie Brown of Glennville, Ga. One daughter Ms. Annie Pearl Brown of Reidsville, Ga. Three grandchildren Mrs. Rhonda Richardson, Derek Wicker and Mrs. Myra Cooper and seven great grandchildren. Two brothers Bennie Brown of Dallas, Texas and Daniel Brown of Glennville, Georgia. Four sisters Mary Lizzie Brown and Mrs. Evelyn Wilson both of Boston, Mass., Mrs. Betty Ann Davis of Statesboro, Ga. and Mrs. Eva Pearl Jordan of Glennville, Georgia and a host of other relatives and friends.
Memorial services will be held Thursday, August 14, 2008 at the Railroad Avenue Church of God in Jesup, Ga. from 7:00pm - 8:00pm.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, August 16, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. at the First African Baptist Church in Glennville with burial in the Church of God Cemetery in Glennville, Ga.
Visitation will be held on Friday, August 15, 2008 from 12:00pm - 5:00pm at King and Son's Funeral Home Chapel and the wake services will be held at the Evening Light Reformation Church of God from 6:00pm - 8:00pm.
