Elester "Peanut" Brown

Mr. Elester "Peanut" Brown began life's journey on November 15, 1945. He was born in Lumber City, Georgia to the late Walter and Queenie Brown. His life journey came to an end on February 19, 2024.

He received his education in the Lumber City/Telfair County School System. He was employed by Hazlehurst Mills for many years. Later he worked at Cook and Company/Amercord, where he retired after working for many years.

Peanut had a passion for life. He enjoyed making others laugh. He enjoyed playing checkers and spending time with his family and friends.

Preceding him in death are his parents, a daughter Sabrina Quinn, a brother, Lesley Brown, and a sister, Elsie "Babe" Dugger.

He leaves to cherish his memory: one son, Anthony D. Quinn and a grandson, Jayden Mitchell–Quinn, both of Atlanta, GA; a son-in-law, Leon Shinhoster of Lumber City, GA; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
