Ella Elizabeth Blair

January 16, 1943 — March 26, 2021

Ella Elizabeth Doe was born on January 16, 1943 in Claxton, Georgia to Willie Doe [Roosevelt Gordon] and Margetter Lovett. Ella, known to family and friends as Liz or Lizzy, was raised by her grandmother Lucinda Lovett until the age of 17 in Gooseneck, Georgia. Liz was an exceptional, loving woman and anyone who met her, she immediately lifted their spirits. She loved and believed in God and was ordained to be an Evangelist in 1983. She was also an exceptional singer. In 1980, her and her brothers formed a professional singing Gospel Group called the Spiritual Six. She loved her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren with all her heart, and they all had unbreakable bonds. She also loved her family and friends and they loved her in return. Elizabeth married Emory Addison, Sr. in 1960 in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Within their union five children were born: Emory Addison, Jr., Curtis Addison [Mary-Ann Coney Addison], Michael Addison [Beverly Addison], Matthew Addison, and Jeffrey Addison [Andrea Addison]. Elizabeth and Emory divorced in 1975. Elizabeth later met Matthew Blair where they married in 1979 in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Liz got her GED and received her CNA nursing license through Hudson County Vocational School in Jersey City, New Jersey in 1972-73. Liz was an incredibly determined individual. She worked two to three jobs during the day and went to school at night while raising five boys. Elizabeth leaves to cherish her loving memories, her sons: Emory, Curtis, Michael, Matthew, Jeffrey. Granddaughter, who she raised as her daughter, Doretha LaShaun Stanley. Her brother Dr. Larry Gordon. Cousins who she referred to as sisters: Lilly Mae Nixon and Mary Lou Bartley, and a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
