The life journey of Evelyn "Poochie" Robinson Pringle began on September 9, 1944, as the beloved daughter of the late Wesley Robinson, Sr., and Christine Kirk Robinson. Her earthly journey ended peacefully as she entered eternal rest on November 22, 2024, at her home in Cayce, SC.
She received her education in the local public schools of Telfair County and graduated from Telfair County High School.
She accepted Christ at a young age and became a member of St. John Missionary Baptist Church in Lumber City, GA. She later made her home in Mount Vernon, NY. While living in New York, she attended the Friendship Baptist Church there.
Throughout her life, Evelyn worked various jobs before finding her calling in healthcare. She loved caring for people and served as a Nursing Assistant at New York Cornell Hospital in White Plains, NY, for many years.
Following her husband's job transfer, they relocated to Cayce, SC, in 1993. She continued her passion for caring for people at Presbyterian Nursing Home until her retirement. After moving to Cayce, Evelyn's faith remained central to her life, and she found her spiritual home at First Nazareth Baptist Church, where she worshipped until her health declined.
She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and auntie known for her sharp wit and tell-it-like-it-is approach to life. Her entire adult life was devoted to helping her family, and while her fierce love and protective nature were well known, so too was her vibrant spirit and refreshing honesty. Those who knew her best loved her for her tender heart and straightforward nature.
Evelyn found her life partner in Franklin Pringle, whom she married on August 26, 1972. Their marriage was blessed with more than 52 years of shared love and happiness, during which she was forever his beloved 'Ebby'.
Preceding her in death were her parents, her siblings: Lugenia "Sue" Tribble, Annette Hollis, Louiza "Robin" Pringle, Wesley, Lester, Coleman, Roosevelt, and Raleigh James Robinson, and great-granddaughter Lexi Pringle.
