First Lady Karen Tene Boles

First Lady Karen Tene Boles, the last child of the late Mr. William (Gene) Cole Taylor, Sr. and Miss Mary Louise Jackson was born September 7, 1959 in Dallas, Texas. She was an intelligent, remarkable and talented young woman full of faith for God. Karen was joined in Holy Matrimony to the absolute love of her life the Reverend Clarences Edward Boles, Jr. on February 23, 1980. To this union were added four loving children. God's tommorrow is a day of greeting: we shall see the Savior's face. And our longing hearts await the meeting in that holy happy place....'Early Tuesday morning November 17, 2009, God called her home to be with Him at St. Joseph's Hospital in Savannah, Georgia. She was preceded in death by two siblings: Beverly Louise Taylor and Kenneth Cole Taylor both of Dallas, Texas. Karen leaves to cherish her memories a loving and devoted husband of 29 years the Rev. Clarence E. Boles, Jr. of Pembroke, Ga.; four children: Brannon Taylor (Sarah), Malissa Boles Mackay (Eric), Jessica Boles and Jonathan Boles. A loving mother: Mary Louise Tyler; brother - William Cole Taylor, Jr. (Marilyn); one grandchild: Donovan Taylor; nieces BriOnna Taylor and April Taylor, nephews Kenneth Taylor, Jr. and Renaldo Taylor. Many other relatives, a host of friends and countless brothers and sister in Christ. Funeral services will be held Monday, November 23, 2009 at 10:00 at the First Union Missionary Baptist Church in Savannah, Georgia. Sister Boles will lie in state at the church form 8:00 am until the hour of service. Wake services will be held Sunday, November 22, 2009 at the First African Baptist Church in Glennville, Georgia from 5:00pm to 7:00pm. Funeral services will be held in Dallas, Texas on Tuesday, November 24, 2009 at the Abundant Life Church of God in Christ at 1:00pm with burial in the Laura Land Cemetery in Dallas, Texas.
