Graveside Service was held on Saturday, September 25, 2021, at 10:00 A. M. at the Dillard Cemetery, McArthur District in Lumber City, Ga.
Officiating Pastors: Bishop William Hollis and Pastor Charles A. Anderson
Pallbearers were her grandsons and nephews.
Francine H. Severe entered eternal rest on September 11, 2021, at Wellstar Douglas Hospital in Douglasville, Georgia. She was born on November 28, 1949, in Wheeler County to the parents of the late Author T. and Roxie Howell.
Francine was educated in the Wheeler County School System. Eight siblings preceded her in death: Joyce, Uhlys, Jennett, Arthur P. Phelicia, Winnie Pearl, Margorie, and Felton.
Francine joined St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church at an early age. She moved to New Jersey, where she worked as a nurse's assistance, and she also owned her own Dry-Cleaning Business. On moving back to Lumber City, she reunited herself with the church where she was a choir member and president. She was once a Youth Advisor and President of the WMBS Society.
She leaves to cherish fond memories: a loving daughter, Crystal Howell Flowers of Hahira, GA; Angela Cadet and Calvin Howell preceded her in death. One brother Emory "Bim" Howell, East Orange, New Jersey; nine grandchildren: Tiffany Stewart, Shakira Howell, Taherah Howell, Lebinson (Elizabeth) Presmy, Chantal and Wesley Cadet, Atlanta, GA, Quarron King and Nicholas Howell Flowers, Hihira, Ga; and one great grand, Kadin Burgess. A host of many loving nieces, nephews, grandnieces, cousins, friends, and classmates.
