Geraldine Davis

January 4, 1952 — April 2, 2022

Geraldine Davis was born on January 4, 1952, to the parentage of Earnest Lee (Little Boy) Mobley and Vernell (Bill) Mobley in Tyson, GA. On Saturday, April 2, 2022, God called her home. Geraldine Davis attended the Tattnall County Public School System. She graduated from Tattnall Industrial Highschool in 1970. She was an avid lover of children, so she received multiple Certifications in Childcare. She was a very devoted wife, a loving and caring mother, and a hard worker that continuously succeeded at everything she was called to do. She was known as a woman that cared deeply for her family and friends. Geraldine was a person that never met a stranger, and she would do anything she could to help someone. She shared her love through cooking. Geraldine Davis served as a member of Zion Temple Church of Christ Holiness unto the Lord for over 40 years. She served as Sunday School teacher to many children for many years. Her passion was to teach children about God and push them to walk in the calling that God has placed on them. She believed in seeing people push past any obstacles or challenges and get what God has promised them. On October 26, 1970, she married her sweetheart, Edward Davis and through this union they were blessed with three beautiful children, Edward Jr, Britney, and Bryson. She loved her children. They were truly her heart. She was preceded in death by her parents Earnest Lee (Little Boy) and Vernell (Bill) Mobley, her siblings Jimmy, Joe Lewis, Maderia Ann, E.M., Darceil, Vonceil, Rosamae, Helen, her husband Edward Davis, Sr. and her son Edward Davis, Jr. She leaves to cherish her memories: her devoted children Britney (Christopher) Woodruff and Bryson Fountain of San Antonio, TX. In addition, she leaves four sisters Vern (Clinton) Daughtry, Linda Williams, Nell (Sammie) Hill, and Gwitha (Earl) Warren and one brother, Jerry (Diane) Mobley, one devoted niece Carol Fountain, two brother-n-laws Pastor Jerome (Misty) Davis and Perry (Liz) Davis, two sister-n-laws Linda Davis and Shirley (Earnest) Harvell, one special son, Vontae Fillmore, special neighbors, Lavonia Hardee and family and Tracey Jackson, special friends Lilian Ross and Wendell Singleton, extended family, Pastor Diane Jinks, and many loving nieces, nephews and church family. She also leaves to cherish her memories: four special nephews Hercules (Yolanda) Mobley, Jamal (Tish) Mobley Sr., Demetrius (Stephanie) Mobley, and Chris (Cornelia) Winters.
