Gladys H. Mincey

"I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith" Deaconess Gladys H. Mincey was born November 20, 1932 to the late Lennie and Mamie Harris in Lanier, GA. She passed peacefully on March 25, 2020 surrounded by her family. Sis. Gladys was a faithful member of the Greater Zachariah Missionary Baptist Church, Glennville, GA. She was a Deaconess and also have served in the church choir. She loved her family and was a very humble person. Deaconess Gladys was preceded in death by her husband, Rogers Lee Mincey; a son Roger Lee Mincey, Jr.; her sibling which included five brothers and seven sisters. She is survived by her daughter, Linda Gail Richardson, one son, Larry Coley both of Glennville, GA.; one sister, Paulette Harris of Glennville, GA; three grandchildren, Felicia(Jackie) Simmons of Jacksonville, FL, Salencia Mincey of Glennville, GA and LaShawn Richardson of Walthourville, GA; eight great-grandchildren, four great-great grandchildren, and nine step grandchildren. Nine sisters-in-law, Sarah Cox, Josie Mincey, Naomi Slater, Willie(Bill) McKinnon, Shirley(Edward} Rogers, Jewel(Billy) Sharpe, Catherine Mincey, Madie Cain and Bert Mincey; two brothers-in-law, Jerry(Dorothy) Mincey and Larry Mincey, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and sorrowing friends.
