Gloria White Porter

On Sunday, June 17, 2018, Gloria White Porter made her transition to her heavenly home with the Lord. Mrs. Porter was born March 21, 1948. She grew up in Oak Ridge, TN. She was educated in the Anderson County (Oak Ridge, TN) School System. She received her B.S. degree from the University of Tennessee and her M.S. from Clemson University. She was also a retired math teacher and homemaker. She was a member of the Saint James A.M.E. Church, Glennville, GA. She was preceded in death by her parents, Maggie White and Paul White; sister Carolyn Angel; and daughter, Kimberlee Porter. She leaves to cherish her memory: her loving and devoted husband, DeWitt Porter Sr. of forty-eight years; her devoted son, DeWitt (Kirsten) Porter, Jr. of Atlanta, GA, and a special God daughter, Kenya Bell of NY; sisters Pauline Jackson of Oak Ridge, TN, Peggy (Ron) Mann of Memphis, TN, Deidre (Toye) Odumakinde of Simpsonville, SC; brother-in-law Dwayne Reviere of Glennville, GA; sister-in-law, Simone Comfort of Fredericksburg, VA.
