Richard

Henry James Byrd, better known as Richard, was born to the late Martha Lane and the late Joe Byrd on April 6, 1946 in Metter GA. Richard entered into eternal rest on Saturday, May 7, 2022 in his home in Glennville, GA. Richard enjoyed sitting on his porch with his friends and just being outside. He was preceded in death by two granddaughters, Shamya Briana Bacon and Michonne Merica Hayes; Four brothers, Willie Joe Lane, Willie Lee Lane, Homer Lee Lane and Horace Lane; Two sisters, Betty Lane and Elnora Lane. Richard is survived by his loving children, Phil Byrd (Sandra) of Atlanta, GA, Erika Welcome of Hinesville, GA and Richard Byrd of Lyons, GA; Seven grandsons; five granddaughters; One sister, Mary Goggins of Jacksonville FL; Three brothers, Tony Lane and Jeffrey Lane of Jacksonville, FL and Roger Lane of Orlando, FL; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends.
