Mrs. Ida Mae Smith Eason, 90, of Glennville, Ga., went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, September 9, 2009 at the Ogeechee Area Hospice Center in Statesboro, Ga. She was preceded in death by her late parents, Tom and Daisy (Wilkerson) Smith; her husband, Shilo Eason Sr.; two brothers, Curtis Smith and Willie 'Sam Bow' Simmons; one sister, Bernice Washington; four brothers-in-law and their wives, Lemuel (Eula) Eason, Oris (Mollie) Eason Sr., James Toris (LoNell) Eason and Albert Clovis Eason; two sons Johnny Lee Eason and Jerome Eason.
Mrs. Ida Mae leaves to cherish her loving memory, one sister Marie C. Young; three daughter Annie Mae (Jimmy) Ford, Annette (Johnny) Eason, LoNease (Donnie) Leonard; five sons: Shilo (Mary) Eason Jr., Ralph (Jeannette) Eason, Eugene (Valerie) Eason, Hercules (Shirley) Eason and Calvin Glenn Eason, also a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, friends and many other loved ones.
In honor of all those who love and cherished Mrs. Ida Mae, the family graciously request that in lieu of flowers, financial contributions be made to First African Baptist Church in her memory.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, September 12, 2009 at 11:00 am at First African Baptist Church in Glennville, Ga., with burial in the church cemetery.
Wake services Friday, September 11, 2009 from 7:00-8:00 at the First African Baptist Church in Glennville, Ga.
King and Son's Funeral Home of Glennville, Georgia is in charge of arrangements.
