James Clifford Towns Sr.

Mr. James c. Towns Sr. passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Tuesday December 24, 2019 at the Memorial Health Hospital in Savannah, Ga. He was born August 10, 1946 in Reidsville, GA to the late Woodrow Towns and Eudell Sharpe Towns. Mr. Towns served his country in the United States Army from 1964 to 1967 . He was a Vietnam Veteran and was honorably discharged. He retired from the United States Postal service after working for 36 years. He is survived by his wife Debra Towns One daughter Cheryle Towns, Two sons, James C Towns Jr, John C Towns, one stepdaughter, Ebony Mikel, two stepsons, Corey Darden Maria), Harold Mikel (Nariyah). Three sisters Lurena Mccleod(Rolly), Yvonne Stephens, Sherry (Phyiss Shaheed) One brother Darrell Smith. Six grandchildren, seven step-grandchildren, his mother-inlaw Mary Crawford of Boston Mass, his father-in-law Earl Darden of West Palm Beach FL, four sisters-in-law four brothers-in-law and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Visitation will be held Thursday January 2, 2020 from 4 to 6 pm in the Ruben King Sr. Memorial Chapel of the King and Sons Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held Friday January 3, 2020 at 11:00 am at Springfield Missionary Baptist Church 151 Oak St. Reidsville, GA Burial will follow the service in the Georgia Veteran Memorial Cemetery 8819 US-301 Glennville, GA with military honors
