On Monday, April 8, 2019, God called his son home. Jeffrey Paul Horton Sr was born August 9, 1957 to Alice Bailey and Richard Horton. He was reared in White Plains, New York and attended school there. He joined the military in 1977, and experienced living all over the world. He relocated to the military base on Hunter Army Airfield. Jeffrey served his country for 18 years, he retired in 1995. After retirement, he worked at Smiths State Prison in Glennville, GA, and the Department of Juvenile Justice in Claxton GA. He received an Associate of Science degree from Colorado Technical University. Jeffrey was employed as a Range Technician with Department of Defense-DPTMS. During his tour of duty at Hunter Army Airfield, Jeffrey met and married, the love of his life, Jacquelyn D. Cain. He was affectionally known as "Pop-pop". He enjoyed fishing, watching sports, and spending time with his grandkids. He leaves to cherish his memory his beautiful wife of 38 years, Jacquelyn Deloris Horton of Glennville; four beautiful children, JaCinta (Patrick "Lee") Oglesbee of Glennville, Kenneth (Kiara) Cain of Glennville, GA, Laquisha (Antonio) Drissen of Columbus OH, Jeffrey (Kirsten) Horton II of Palm Bay, FL; his parents; Alice Bailey and Richard Horton of White Plains, NY, eight siblings, Kenneth (Lisa) Horton, Ossining Ny, Cathy Hor-ton of White Plains NY, Patricia Horton, White Plains NY, Bernard Hor-ton of White Plains, NY, Doresa (George) Taylor of Fort Lauderdale, Fl, Joyce (Troy) Richmond of Charlotte, NC, Alicia Horton, and Yolanda Hor-ton of White Plains, NY. 1 brother in law James A Cain of Augusta, GA, and the late Michael Cain. 4 sister in laws, Patricia Cain, Minister Dr. Jim-mie Nell Cain, Teresa (Gary) Garrett, and Toni Cain all of Glennville, GA. Sixteen grandchildren: JaLesa Oglesbee, Patrick Oglesbee, Marzhay Hor-ton, Kenneth Cain Jr, Tristen Horton, Kezia Cain, Kendraya Cain, Ariya Horton, Alexandria Driessen, RaQuell Driessen, D'Tron Driessen, NyKei-sha Driessen, AnaJa Driessen, Mustoffa Driessen, Malcolm Driessen, Niqunna Driessen. 5 great grandchildren. A host of nieces, nephews, cousins other relatives and friends.
