Johnny Lee Balcom

Mr. Johnny L. Balcom was born to the late Ben and Essie Balcom. He was born October 13, 1948 in Laurens County. He was a hard- working man that took care of his family. He was employed at Beasley Forest Product for 3 years.

He retired from the United States Army after serving 29 years. He served in Desert Storm, Persian War and more. He retired from Rayonier/Interfore after 24 years.

He is preceded in death by a son; John Jacob Balcom, two brothers; Leon Balcom and Charles Balcom and one sister; Earlene Fordham.

He leaves to cherish his memories a loving, devoted wife of 52 years, Alice Balcom of Hazlehurst, GA, three daughters; Rotunda Balcom (Lawrence) of Baxley, GA, Angela Brown (Reshon) of Hazlehurst and LaDina Balcom of Hazlehurst, GA, one son; Nathon (Shaniece) Balcom of Atlanta, GA, one brother; Sammie Balcom (Hazel) of Atlanta, GA. Eleven grandchildren; Lennis Rooks, Johnathon Rooks, Jason Kemp, Dymere Balcom, Serenity Penn, Noah Penn, Drayden Balcom, Hayden Larry, Eugene Larry, 3 great-grandchildren; Kennison Rooks, Alexander Kelley, and Khalil Hill. A host of other loving relatives and friends.
