Ms. Joyce Elaine Johnson was born January 29, 1955 to the late Levi Bell and Mrs. Lottie Bell.
She was educated at Tattnall Industrial High School System. She joined Jerusalem Missionary Baptist Church at a very young age, where she was a member of the choir.
She was a humble, loving and caring person, who took pride in worshipping the Lord, no matter where she was. Joyce was the
matriarch of her family and siblings, in which she was the only girl. She enjoyed cooking, family gatherings, shopping, spoiling her grandkids, and speaking her mind and keeping it real to anyone.
On June 28, 2025, a beautiful life came to an end, when the Lord called our beloved Joyce home.
She leaves to cherish her memories; one daughter Felicia (Byron) Johnson of Statesboro, GA; Six brothers, George (Gladys) Johnson of Boston MA, Terry Johnson of Savannah, GA, Emanuel Bell of Claxton, GA, Thomas (Diane) Bell of Collins, GA, Michael (Gloria) Bell and Kenneth (Kathleen) Bell, all of Statesboro, GA; 2 Grandkids, Brian and Brianna Batten both of Augusta, GA; Five great grands, De'Kari Johnson, Johnathan, Benjamin, Nessiah, and Elise Batten; a special niece
Lottie Bell Grant. and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, friends.
