Junior (J.C.) Campbell

Mr. Junior Campbell, of Hinesville, Ga. passed away at his residence on Friday, July 22, 2011. He was born on January 28, 1910 in Glennville, Ga. to the late John and Ida Campbell. He lived to be a wonderful age of 101 years old. He was educated through the Tattnall County System and later became a serviceman for our country in the United States Army. He lived most of his life as a resident of Broward County, Florida where he was employed by the Boca Raton Resort and Club until he retired. He received Christ as his Savior and continued to develop his relationship with him. He loved good food at restaurants, reading and traveling. He leaves to cherish his memories his daughters: Thelma Lane of Hinesville, Ga. and Lilly Pearl Wingate of Trenton, NJ. Grandchildren: Mrs. Sonia Gaskins of Hinesville, Ga. and Charlotte Slater McCullough, Hayward Lee Slater, Freddie Lee Slater and Charlene Slater all of Ocala, Fla., 34 great grandchildren, 26 great-great grandchildren. Special friends to J.C. who held a dear place in his heart are Johnny and Mildred Westbrook of Lake Placid, Fla. A host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, July 28, 2011 at 11:00am at the Center of Life - Church of God in Glennville, Ga. with burial in the Georgia Veterans Memorial Cemetery. Viewing will be held on Wednesday, July 27, 2011 from 1:00 - 6:00pm at the funeral home. King and Sons Funeral Home of Glennville, Ga. is in charge of arrangements.
