Karen Louise Day

Karen Day was born on August 19, 1967 to the parentage of Leroy Carter, Sr. and Mollie Wiley. She departed this life to rest in the arms of Jesus on October 31, 2019. She was educated in the Jeff Davis County School System and graduated from the Jeff Davis High School in 1985. She worked at Hazlehurst Mills for several years. Karen was a joy to be around and was loved by her children, grandchildren, family, and friends. She fought a good fight and she kept the faith. Precious memories of Karen will forever be cherished by her mother, Mollie Wiley; father, Leroy Carter, Sr.; three loving children: Dwayne Day, Jr., Andrea Day, and Jamaal Day; grandchildren: Zaniya Brown, Karmyn Day, Keelan Day, and Leighton Day; sister, Joanie Carter; brothers: Leroy Carter, Jr. and Maurice Carter; stepfather, Leroy Wiley; stepsister, Joann Aikens (Leon) and five stepbrothers. Karen will also be cherished by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and sorrowing friends.
