Katherine Arnold Myles

Katherine A. Myles was born in Hazlehurst, GA on December 31, 1949 to the late Luke Arnold, Sr. and Anna Arnold. She went home to be with the Lord on October 2, 2018. She attended the public school system of Jeff Davis County, GA and graduated high school in 1969 from Hazlehurst High School. She spent many years as a homemaker where she concentrated on caring for her family. She was a loving and devoted wife and mother of two sons. She also worked outside the home a few years at Alco Controls, Hazlehurst Mill and Hazlehurst Nursing Home. She was a member of Piney Grove Baptist Church for many years where she served as an usher, and assisted in the kitchen. She moved her membership to Kirkland Grove were she also served as an usher. She was preceded in death by her husband of 41 years, Mr. Leroy Myles. She leaves to cherish her memories, two devoted sons, Everard (Jennifer) Myles and Jarred Myles of Statesboro, GA; a grandson Evarion Myles of Statesboro, GA; two sisters, Arrabele Boddie of Hazlehurst, GA and Loretta (Willie) Welch of Okeechobee, FL. One brother Luke (Carolyn) Arnold, Jr. of Hazlehurst, GA; a devoted nephew, Willie Boddie of Hazlehurst, GA. Two sisters-in-law, Lela Pearl Myles and Louise Wiley of Hazlehurst, GA; two brothers-in-law, Arthur Lee (Mable) Myles and Rudolph Myles of Hazlehurst, GA. A special friend to the family, Ann Carver of Alma, GA. She will also be missed by a host of nieces, nephews, friends and neighbors.
