Lauretta Bradshaw, loving mother, sister, and grandmother was born on December 27, 1955 in Denton, Georgia, the proud parents of the late Flozzell Bradshaw and Geneva Bradshaw. She was called from labor to reward and transitioned to her heavenly home after a heroic battle with a sudden illness on October 24, 2020 at Piedmont Henry Hospital, Stockbridge, GA.
Lauretta confessed Christ as her savior at an early age and became a member of Bethel AME Church in Denton, GA. Faith was an important aspect of Lauretta's life therefore, after relocating to Atlanta, GA she continued her journey in faith as an active member of Salem Baptist Church
Lauretta was a graduate of Jeff Davis High School Class of 1973 in Hazlehurst, GA. She went on to continue her educational matriculation at South Georgia College in Douglas, GA. She later went on to graduate from Atlanta Metropolitan State College as a Licensed Nail Technician. She was a professional hard-working woman with a variety of skills and expertise.
Loving and caring were natural traits of Lauretta as she always had a passion for serving others. Whether professionally with family or friends, Lauretta served as a caregiver to many. She went on to pursue her passion by becoming a devoted self- employed caregiver. Lauretta continued to do what she loved until her health suddenly declined.
Working was nothing uncommon for Lauretta. In addition to pursuing her passion as a caregiver, Lauretta held several different roles throughout her career. She was employed by Morehouse College as a secretary. She contributed over 20 Years of service at CAN Insurance as a Subrogation Specialist. Lauretta was last employed by Delta Global Services for approximately 10 years. It was her desire to retire from this company in December. She was well respected by her managers, co-workers, and friends.
World Traveler at its Best. During her spare time, Lauretta enjoyed traveling and experiencing new places- the culture, the food, the art, and especially the people. She was devoted to her family and enjoyed spending time with her many friends. Whether shopping or discovering unique restaurants or coffee shops, Lauretta's greatest love was spoiling and spending time with her grandchildren.
Lauretta leaves to cherish her memories, her two wonderful children, Jabarrie Jones (Nikki) of College Park, GA and Renee Burts (DeMarcus) of Ellenwood, GA; a loving brother, Flozzell Bradshaw of Lumber City, GA; seven amazing grandchildren, Jordan, Jabarrie Ty, Cali, Chloe, Madison, Chase, and Camryn; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, family and dear friends.
