Leonard George

Leonard George was born on January 14, 1952, to the late Ellis George and Minnie George in Alamo, Ga. He departed his life on Monday, October 30, 2017, in Wheeler County. He was a graduate of the Wheeler County High School Class of 1971. He was a faithful member of the Alamo Chapel Baptist Church where he served a deacon and the Sunday School Superintendent. He was employed with Propex Inc. for over 40 years. He was a family man who especially enjoyed spending time with his grands and great grands. He loved to fish and do landscaping work. He found delight in reading and studying God's Word, making preparation for Sunday School and Church. He leaves to cherish his memories; a devout wife, Louise Holt George of Alamo, GA; two daughters, Cathy Vann and Bonita (Joe) Jones, both of Hazlehurst GA. Six grandchildren: Brandon and Marcus Vann; Sincere, Diamond, Joe, and Nikia Jones. Three great grands, Briana, Brandon, and Keonna Vann. A loving mother, Mamie (Elmus Hayes) George of Alamo; Brothers: Collis George, James George, John George, all of Alamo, GA; Columbus George of Vidalia, GA; snd Eugene George of Abbeville, GA. And a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
