It is with deep sadness that the family of Lester Carl (LC) Jackson, 82, of Guyton, Georgia, announces his passing on November 13, 2024. Born on May 9, 1942, in Ellabell, Georgia, Lester leaves behind a legacy of love, faith, and hard work that continues to inspire all who knew him.
From a young age, Lester demonstrated incredible strength and responsibility, stepping into the role of caretaker and provider for his siblings. He became the backbone of his family, selflessly ensuring their well-being and stability. Throughout his life, he remained a pillar of support. Lester's resilience, compassion, and steadfast love will forever remain in the hearts of his family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, Sidney Jackson Sr.; his mother, Annie Mae Timmons Jackson; three brothers, Sidney Jackson Jr., Grady Jackson, and Jimmy Jackson; two sisters, Geraldine Dukes and Eva Mae Roberson; a son-in-law, Harry Wright; two daughters, Cynthia Darlene King and Terry Lynn Johnson; a granddaughter, Cana Kierra-Novella King; and his former wife, Jeanette Thomas Jackson Sharpe.
From this union, Lester is survived by his five children: Donna Brewton (Victor), Caroline Jackson, Janet Harrell (Wayne), Brenda Wright, and Carl Jackson. He also leaves behind two daughters, Veronica Madison and Kayla Nicole Jackson-Mobley (Ziaire), who he deeply loved.
He leaves to cherish his memory 22 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, four sisters: Patricia Clark, Sandra Butler (James), Sadie Jackson and Easter Mae Jenkins; four brothers: Walter Jackson, James Jackson, Tommy Lee Jackson, and Roland Jackson; along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and many dear friends and loved ones who will miss him dearly.
A celebration of life will be held at Jerusalem Missionary Baptist Church, located at 244 Jerusalem Church Rd, Pembroke, Georgia 31321, on November 22, 2024. Family and friends are welcome to attend.
