God's tomorrow is a day of greeting: we shall see the Savior's face. And our
longing hearts await the meeting in the holy happy place. Early Sunday
Morning, October 27, 2024, God called mama home to be with him.
Mother Loretta Wilcox Manor was born on October 30, 1939, to the parentage
of the late Wimley Wilcox, Sr. and Ruby Dell Jinks in Glennville, Georgia.
Loretta was married to the late Hubert Manor for 56 years until his death. They
were blessed with five children, with two daughters preceding her in death,
LoAnn Anderson and Annette Manor.
Loretta was baptized over 60 years ago by Reverend E. J. Junior. She faithfully
served in numerous positions over the years including Church Mother, member
of the E. J. Junior Guild, choir, decorating committee and the senior mission.
Loretta was well known in the community as an experienced seamstress,
creating and altering various textiles.
Loretta leaves to cherish her memories to her loving children: James Wilcox
(Lanette), Carol Watters (Floydell) and Luther Manor; grandsons: Kendal
Manor, Marcus Coleman, LaJ Manor, and Kevin Murphy; granddaughters:
Lakiessa Johnson, Jatoya Washington, Jameisha Washington, Kenetra Murphy,
Coco Caswell, and Jesica Levant; siblings: Elder Wimley Wilcox, Darlene Wilcox,
Dell Wilcox, and Kim Wilcox; aunt: Evelyn Brogden; in-laws: Nathaniel and
Irene Mayner, Edward and Pat Moody; special friends for over fifty years: Eula
Levant and Mildred Walker. She also leaves a host of great-grandchildren, 2
great great-grandchildren, other family members, and friends.
