Louvanda Cox Porter

Louvanda Cox-Porter was born January 1, 1959 in Long County to Jettie and Sarah Cox. She departed this life the morning of Monday, August 1, 2022 at the age of 63 at St. Joseph's Candler Hospital in Savannah, GA. Louvanda attended Long County Public School System. She was employed at Glenvue Nursing Home for many years. Louvanda joined Green Cypress Baptist Church at an early age. Later, she joined Tabernacle of Faith Church of God in Christ. She was preceded in death by her father; Jettie Cox, her daughter; LaConya Coley, brother; Ernest Cox, brother-in-law; Minister Gary McBride and aunt; Helen McClain. She leaves to cherish her memories her son; Mantrell (Raven) Coley of Nashville, TN, daughter; Laneisa Porter of Midway, GA, granddaughter; Sari'Charm' Nephew of Midway, GA, Mother; Sarah Cox of Glennville, Three god-children; Rose Tarrieon Hankerson of Hinesville, GA, Willie Knight, Jr. of Richmond Hill, GA and Kierse Hagans of Glennville, GA, two brothers; Jet (Josie) Cox, Danny (May) Cox of Glennville, GA, two sisters; Sandra McBride and Samantha (Wayne) Hall of Glennville, GA, sister-in-law; Diane Cox of New Jersey, one god-sister; Angelia Roberts of Albany, GA, six auntys; Neomi Slates of Claxton, Josie Mae Mincey of Savannah, GA, Jewel (Reginald) Sharpe, Shirley (Edward) Rogers, Willie (Bill) McKinnon of Reidsville, GA and Ida Pearl Will of Glennville, GA, two uncles; Jerry (Dorothy) Mincey and Larry Mincey of Savannah, GA, a special cousin; Lamar Levant of Savannah, GA and a very special friend; Curtis Twiggs of Midway, GA, and her loving god-mother; Josie Mae Mincey.
