Lovingly known as 'Ms. Chancellor' to her family and 'Mamie Lou' to some and others, she will be remembered for her kind-heartedness through willingness to open her home to those in need of shelter, giving aide to family and friends, helping out in any way she could to everyone she could, and sharing all she had with various people throughout the neighborhood. Mamie was a member of the Tattnall Co. Industrial High School's graduating class of 1964 and a faithful member of St. Phillip M. B. Church, which she joined at an early age.
