Son- Markeith Sharone Blackshear was born October 9, 1982, in Hazlehurst, Georgia, to the parents of the late Bobby James Blackshear Sr. and Rudena Blackshear.
Education- Markeith graduated from Jeff Davis High School on May 23, 2000. At the time of his departure, Markeith was pursuing a degree in Business to become a music producer and songwriter at McLennan Community College.
Work- Markeith was employed at Atmos Energy as a Customer Accountant Supervisor at the Waco, TX, contact center. On October 16, 2023, Markeith received a five-year award for outstanding workmanship at Atmos Energy.
Faith- Markeith was introduced to Jesus Christ at an early age. He joined Bennett Tabernacle Holiness Church with his family as a toddler and served under the leadership of Bishop Robert L. Fryer (pastor) and Elder Eddie Harmon (assistant Pastor). As a servant, he sang in the youth choir and spent his summers studying the Bible to represent his church in the Annual Sunday School Convention Bible Bowl quiz, where he and his teammate won several trophies for the church. He also sang in various traveling gospel groups. Faith- On June 12, 2015, Markeith joined Waco Church of the Living God PGT, where Pastor L. Shawn Brinson Sr and Elect Lady Brinson are the leaders. Markeith was an active praise and worship leader, the choir program coordinator, and backup musician, participated in plays and skits and was a deacon in training.
In 2001, Markeith recorded and mastered his first single at entitled "My Hand," and after that, he recorded many singles and was featured with other artists that can be found on Apple Music and other music sources. He was a well-known artist in Waco, TX, and surrounding counties as a phenomenal singer and person. His logo can be found in "I am Markeith."
-One of Markeith's favorite things to do as a child was to go fishing with his dad and siblings. He also loved animals and once desired to be a veterinarian. When Markeith was not working, he was preparing to be the great artist he became through singing at shows with the music he wrote and playing music at home. He was inspired to become the best keyboardist he could become.
Markeith was a beacon of light to whomever he encountered. Markeith's final moments were January 21, 2024.
