Marvin Sharpe

August 8, 1951 — November 2, 2019

Marvin Sharpe was born August 8, 1951 in Glennville, Georgia, the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Charlie Lee Sharpe, Sr. Marvin was the second of three children. Brother Charlie Sharpe, Jr. preceded him in death. He joined the Greater Zachariah Missionary Baptist Church at an early age under the leadership of the late Rev. T. .J. Lynch. He later rejoined Greater Zachariah Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Rev. C. L. Anderson. Marvin attended the public schools in Tattnall County, Georgia and graduated from the Tattnall County Industrial High School, Reidsville, Georgia in 1969. Marvin was employed awith the Mascot Pecan Company for many years, after which he was employed with Duramatic Products until he fell ill in November 2008. Marvin was kind hearted and would share whatever he had with others. He was a fun loving person who kept you laughing with the crazy things he would say. Marvin was a SPORTS FANATIC! He loved all sports but, football was his favorite. He could tell you anything about football. Marvin leaves to celebrate and honor his memories one son, Kevin Cooper, Glennville, GA; other children-Clove Cooper of TN and Jean Frontenot, KS. Grandchildren-Tramaur Jinks, Tanequa Coley and Tyler Jinks; a loving and devoted sister-Diane Mobley, Detroit, MI, sister-in-law-Kathy Sharpe of Glennville, GA, Robert K. Taylor(Ernestine) of Fort Valley, GA and Vivian Campbell(Larry) of Atlanta, GA. Nephews-Emory Demetrius Mobley, Southfield, MI, Coby Sharpe, Glennville, GA and niece-Melissa Brown, Southfield, MI. Great nephews-Emory Demetrius Mobley II, Richard Brown III and great niece-Parris Mobley, Southfield, MI. Marvin will also be missed by a host of cousins and other family members and friends. He surely will be missed by special friends Sylvester Sharpe and Sherma "Libby" Sharpe (thank you both so much for your friendship and kindness.)
