Funeral service for Mary Ann Hollis Allen was held on Saturday, August 24, 2019
2:00 p.m. at the Full Gospel Church of God, 46 Renwick Street, Lumber City, Ga 31549
With Bishop William Hollis, Elect Lady Estella Hollis, Pastor Naomi Conaway, Evangelist Felecia Wilcox, and Minister Mary Hollis. Interment was in Cedar Grove Cemetery in Lumber City, GA

Mary Ann Hollis Allen, affectionately called "Gramps", answered the Master's Call on Monday, August 19th,2019 at the Hazlehurst Court Care in Hazlehurst, Ga. She was born on September 7, 1947 to the late Raymond and Maude Riggen Hollis in Smithville, Mississippi.
The family relocated to Lumber City, Georgia, where she grew up and attended the Lumber City Elementary School. She was a lifelong member of the Full Gospel Church of God Written in Heaven of Lumber City, Ga INC. She was married to the late L. C. Allen and to this union two children were born, the late Alfred Allen and the late Lillie Ruth Allen Davis.
Mary was a homemaker and a baby-sitter for many manys. She was also a hairdresser, keeping the little girls hair pretty, as well as straightening, pressing and curling the adults' hair, using the straightening comb and curling iron. She loved to cook. She will forever be remembered as a very compassionate person, who loved her family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her spouse, her children: Alfred and Lillie Ruth; her siblings: Samson (Stella Mae) Hollis, Willie B. Hollis, Shirley Hollis Young, Diane (Robert) Stegall, John Earl (Joyce) Hollis and Shirley Genette Hollis Harvey; her father and mother-in-law, Otis and Johnnie Mae Stewart Allen; her sister-in-law, Flora Allen; and her step-daughter, Teshia Tobler.
She leaves many precious memories to: her brother and sister-in-law, Bishop William and Elect Lady Estella Hollis, who has been her guardians after the death of their parents; her great grandson raised as her son, Mark Jones, Jr.; her son-in-law, Wade Davis, all of Lumber City, GA; her Grand-children: Tiffany Latae Allen Jordan and Isaac (Amanda) Davis, II of Lumber City, GA; and Franshon (Marigus Andreall) Sampson of Hazlehurst, GA; her Great grands: Iyuri Sampson, Marigus Sampson, Jr., Ian Allen, Andrez Sampson, Marquita Garnes, Markeai Garnes, Shacourtney Davis, Isacc McCory III, and Jamiah Robinson. Siblings: Alonza (Janice) Hollis of Tupelo, Mississippi; and Evangelist Taressa (Jonathan) Carr of Lumber City, GA. As sisters: Celestine (Winfred) Robinson, Janice (Eddie, Jr.) Conaway, all of Lumber City, GA; and Patricia (Hirosha) Thomas of Hazlehurst, GA. Two uncles: Ernest Hollis of Cleveland, OH and James (Betty) Hollis of Tupelo, MS. Three sisters-in-law: Sylvia Robinson and Brenda McMillian, both of Lumber City, GA.; and Runnell Hollis of Jacksonville, FL; A close dear friend: Mary Alice Hollis of Hazlehurst, GA. A step-son, Willie Charles (Sabrina) Tobler of McRae, GA; And a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and many dear friends.
