Ms. Mary Francis Smith was born to Wright Smith and Azaline Tobler (Smith) on March 12th 1953 in Jeff Davis County and has been a resident her 68 years of life on earth. She stepped into Heaven on August 12th 2021.
She was employed at the Jeff Davis School Board as a cook. She was also a loving and hard-working mother who raised her five children alone.
Mary was a member of Big Bethel Church under the leadership of late Rev. E.K. Miles. She loved the Lord and her family dearly.
She was preceded in death by sister Mary Alice Smith, and brothers John Tobler and Craig Smith.
Mary leaves to cherish her memories and carry her legacy her five children: Tammy Smith (Jones), Augustin Monplaisir Jr., Wintron Monplaisir, Jonathan Smith, and Alexandria Smith. Her son-in-law Eddie Jones. Three daughter-in-laws: Jessica Deeds, Sabrina Monplaisir, and Laneka Smith. Her siblings Mary Ann Smith, Perry Smith, Roy Smith, (wife Tammy Knox Smith), James Smith, and sister-in-law Virginia Tobler. Her 13 grandchildren, also 13 great-grands. And a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
