Mikell Foster Jr.

April 8, 1986 — January 9, 2026

Reidsville, Georgia

Mikell “Mike” Foster, Jr. was a man of quiet strength, integrity, and deep devotion to his family. He passed away unexpectedly on January 9, 2026, at the age of 39. Mikell was born on April 8, 1986, to Joan and Mikell Foster, Sr. He grew up in Glennville, GA, where he developed a foundation of faith that lasted a lifetime.

At a young age, he served at Greater Zachariah Baptist Church, a milestone that anchored his belief in God and prayer. He attended Tattnall County High School and later obtained his GED. If you knew Mikell then you knew his sense of humor was second to none; he was the king of the inside joke and one-liners. Mikell was a hard-worker and a man of action. He was known by peers and family alike for his ability to set boundaries and protect his peace. Though he was a private man, his quiet dignity and genuine nature left a lasting impression on those who truly took the time to know him.

Left cherishing Mikell’s memory are: fiance, Whitney Mckenzie; two sons, Nicholas Foster and King Foster; four daughters, Anavia Monroe, Milaya Johnson, Charm Foster and Cheris Foster; granddaughter, Iphigenia “GiGi” Harvey; stepdaughter, Aa’zariah Murphy; loving father, Mikell Foster, Sr.; brother, Tellas (Tosha) Kennedy; sister, Leawanna Foster (Travis) Bacon; close like siblings, Perez Staples and Tinisha Donaldson; five nieces, Heaven Bacon, Hailey Bacon, Taelyn Bacon, Janiya Carter and Reketta Bruns; nephew, Travis Bacon, Jr.; great nephew, Princeton Warner; aunts, Julia Bacon, Johnnie Keels, and Sharon (Larry) Harris; uncle, John Foster; special aunt, Loisamae Bacon; special uncle, Thomas Hall; and a host of other relatives cousins and friends.
