Moses Fate

Moses was born October 13, 1962 in Brooklyn, New York. He entered into eternal rest while in Hospice Care on November 25, 2025 surrounded by loved ones in Savannah, GA.

He was raised and spent his life in Glennville, GA. He attended Tattnall County Schools and graduated in 1981. Moses was a hardworking heavy equipment operator for Banks Trucking and Dirt WX, proud of the labor he put in each day. Whether he was on the job or spending time with his family, Moses carried the same spirit no matter what!

He was a man known for his big smile and unforgettable sense of humor. Moses had a life full of love, family, and laughter. He had a style and a spirit all his own and could often be found wearing his overalls with pride. Moses lived boldly and laughed often, leaving behind stories that his loved ones will cherish forever.

Family was everything to him. Moses is preceded in death by his parents Sam and Dorceil Fate and two siblings, James and Billy Fate.

He is survived by two children: Crystal Scott (Hinesville, GA) and Kenny Battle (Reidsville, GA); three grandchildren: Dorian, Devin, and Jackiea Scott (Hinesville, GA); six siblings: Samuel Fate(Savannah, Ga), Brenda McClendon (Hinesville, Ga), Marilyn Grant (Glennville, Ga), Kathleen (Hamus) Harvey (Midway, Ga), Jerrell Fate (Midway, Ga), and Major Fate (Savannah, Ga); Honoree Son Germaine Scott(Glennville, GA). He also leaves behind aunts: Vernell Capers (McDonough, Ga), Vern (Clinton) Daughtry (Fort Pierce, FL, Linda Mobley (Hinesville, Ga), Gloria "Nell" (Sammie) Hill (Glennville, Ga), Diane Mobley (Glennville, Ga), uncle: Woodrow "Woody" Brantley (Savannah, Ga) and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and special friends who will forever cherish his memory.

May his soul find rest, and may his legacy bring comfort and strength to those he leaves behind.
